THERAPY WITH LEANNE
Hi, I’m Leanne.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), and hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I completed my undergraduate degree in Child and Youth Care at the University of Victoria. I have over 15 years of experience working with youth in schools and the non-profit sector.
Over the years, I have led a program for pregnant and parenting young mothers, supported youth in foster care, trained as a sexual health facilitator, and worked as a youth worker in high schools—helping youth navigate mental health challenges, trauma, and addiction. I also have experience supporting families and couples in building connection, healing from trauma, creating healthy boundaries and moving through grief & loss.
My counselling approach is client-centered, compassionate, and grounded in building trust and safety. I strive to create a supportive space where individuals can explore their experiences and find their own path forward.
Outside my work, I love spending time outdoors hiking or biking, travelling, and enjoying time with my dog, family, and friends.
